Happy Girl Gives Back: Women's Resource Center
Share
Our clothing swaps have always been about more than the good finds and outfits. They're about community, sustainability, and making sure nothing good goes to waste. That's why, for our last 2 clothing swap, we teamed up with the Women's Resource Center. Every item left over at the end went straight to them.
At our second clothing swap, we took that partnership a step further. We invited the Women's Resource Center to join us as a vendor, so our community could hear about their work firsthand. Based in Oceanside, WRC supports women, children and men in North San Diego County who have been affected by domestic violence or sexual assault. They provide shelter, counseling, legal help, and emergency food and clothing, and they run a 24-hour crisis hotline. It was a powerful reminder that a few pieces from your closet can help someone start over and make a real difference for someone.
Thank you to everyone who swapped clothes and stopped by to learn more about our partnering organization. And a special thank you to High Tide Oside for hosting us, as well as Studio Siou for join us by providing permanent jewelry. We're so grateful for our community and can't wait to see the Happy Girls at the next swap!
